Mistakes should be acknowledged, and new evidence should be distinguished from an error in the original article.

Report a possible error
Email the reader inbox listed on Contact to report a possible error. Include the article link, the passage or calculation in question, and a supporting source.
How a report will be assessed
The passage or calculation in question will be compared with the cited evidence, its definitions and the article’s evidence cutoff. A material change requires a checked revision. The publication remains responsible for deciding what to correct; automated checks are support for that process, not proof that a disputed claim is accurate.
Corrections
A correction fixes something the article got wrong on the evidence available at the time. A material correction will appear on the affected article, stating the actual correction date, what was wrong and what changed. The original publication date will remain distinct.
A spelling or formatting fix that does not change meaning may be made without a separate correction notice. A changed number, conclusion or material qualification requires an explanation.
Updates
An update incorporates later evidence, such as a revised official dataset or a changed product rule. It will identify the new information and its date. An update will not suggest that the original article had access to evidence published later.
Withdrawals
If an article cannot be supported, the policy is to withdraw its substantive content and leave a dated explanation at the original address. A serious problem should not disappear through an unexplained rewrite.
Public correction record
There are no public correction notices as of September 12, 2026. Any material correction will be recorded on the affected article with a dated explanation.
